When a bank payment is returned (for example, insufficient funds or a closed account), your school may block bank payments for your family. Cards still work.

How you can tell

  • In Select Payment Method, the ACH Bank Account section shows "You are currently blocked from paying via ACH, please contact your school administrator."
  • Your saved bank accounts are faded with a lock and cannot be selected.
  • + New Bank Account is greyed out.

What to do

  1. Pay open invoices with a card. See Pay an invoice now.
  2. Contact your school and ask them to unlock ACH. Staff with the right permission unlock it, or send the request to their Approval Center.
  3. Once unlocked, your bank accounts become selectable again.

FAQ

  • Can I unlock it myself? No. Only school staff can unlock bank payments.
  • Why did my payment fail days after I paid? Bank payments take several business days to clear. See Why a bank payment failed days later.
