Before you start
- Finish Find a staff member first.
Steps
- Open My School → Staff and tap the person.
- Tap Permissions. The summary reads, for example, "Teacher defaults · 2 changes".

The Permissions section with its group cards - Tap a group card to open it: My Day, School Management, Classroom Tools, Content & Communication, Data & Reports, Admin Tools, and Other (Loris). Each card shows "x of y on" and how many rows are custom.
- Tap a row to turn it on or off. Tap the ⓘ icon to read what it does.
- Some rows have an approval chip underneath. Tap Requires approval (Tap to change) to switch it. See Approval requirements.
- Tap Save at the top right.
Tips
- Sub-permissions sit indented under their parent. Turning a parent off turns its sub-permissions off too.
- A Custom badge marks rows that differ from the role's defaults. Reset to Teacher defaults (or the person's role) puts them all back.
- Changing someone's User Type adds the new role's defaults you are allowed to grant.
Troubleshooting
- A row is locked or greyed out. See Why a permission is locked.
