Read classroom counts and ratio warnings

If you don't see this

• It needs the Attendance permission. A director grants it under Manage School → Staff → Permissions.

The classroom list in Attendance is also a live ratio board. Counts include children and teachers moved in from other rooms.

Before you start

• Finish Open Attendance and pick a classroom first.

Steps

1. Open My Day → Attendance.
2. Read each classroom row: the children and teachers present, for example "8 children · 2 teachers", and a bar showing how full the room is against its capacity.
3. Look for a warning next to the room name.

4. To clear a warning, assign a teacher to the room or move children to another room.

Tips

• Ratio and capacity come from the classroom's settings. Directors can change them from the settings icon in the classroom.

FAQ

• What does Over Ratio mean? More children are present than the teachers in the room allow, or children are present with no teacher. It shows in red.
• What does Over Cap mean? More children are present than the room's capacity. It shows in red.
• What does Over Staff mean? There are enough teachers for at least one more full ratio group than the children present need. It shows in orange.
