Move a signed-in child to another classroom

If you don't see this

• It needs the Attendance permission. A director grants it under Manage School → Staff → Permissions.

Moving a child keeps ratios accurate when children change rooms during the day. It does not change the child's home classroom.

Before you start

• Finish Open Attendance and pick a classroom first.

Steps

1. Open My Day → Attendance, pick the child's current classroom, and tap the child.
2. Tap the red swap button at the bottom right.

3. Pick the classroom the child is moving to.

The child's sheet shows a Moved to entry with the time, and the child appears under In This Class in the new room.

Troubleshooting

• "Cannot Transition". The child is not signed in. Sign them in first.
• The child still shows in the old room. In the home classroom they move to In Other Class. That is expected.
