Start a text conversation with a lead

If you don't see this

• It needs the CRM permission. A director grants it under Manage School → Staff → Permissions.
• Your school must have Texting turned on. It's a school setting, ask your director.

You can text any lead with an inquiry, toured or pending status.

Before you start

• Finish Open CRM Chat texting first.

Steps

1. In CRM Chat, tap the + button (New Text Conversation). On the CRM dashboard it is in the + menu.
2. In Select Child, search for and tap the child.

3. If the lead has no phone number, enter it in Phone number for {child}, pick the guardian it belongs to under Whose phone number is this? (or Don't update a guardian (lead only)), and tap Save.
4. Type your message and send it.

Troubleshooting

• "Phone number is not valid." Enter a 10-digit number.
• "This school doesn't have a Twilio number set up yet." Texting isn't set up for your school. Contact Asilo support.
• A guardian can't be picked. Each guardian needs their own number; the same phone can't be on two guardians.
