Approve a pending parent link

If you don't see this

• It needs the My School permission. A director grants it under Manage School → Staff → Permissions.
• It needs the Approve Communication Items permission. A director grants it under Manage School → Staff → Permissions.

A pending link means a parent invited someone who has not accepted the connection yet.

Before you start

• Finish Open a child's profile first.

Steps

1. Open the child's profile and tap Connected Users.
2. Tap the pending adult. The screen explains: "This is a pending link: the user was invited by a parent and has not accepted the connection yet."
3. Tap Approve Link at the bottom.

Tips

• If you would rather wait for the adult to accept, leave it. They connect when they accept the invitation themselves.
• To remove the pending link instead, see Remove a connected adult from a child.

Troubleshooting

• Approve Link is missing. You need Approve Communication Items.
