Adopt your signature

Before you sign a form with signature or initials boxes, the app asks you to adopt a signature. It is the electronic version of your pen-and-paper signature.

Steps​

  1. Open a form to sign. Adopt your signature appears.
  2. Check Full name and Initials.
  3. Pick a style:
    • Type shows your name in a handwriting font.
    • Draw: tap Tap to draw your signature, sign with your finger or mouse, and tap Done. Do the same for Tap to draw your initials if the form asks for initials.

  4. Read the consent text, then tap Adopt.

Tips​

  • In the drawing pad, tap Clear to start over.
  • The app records when and how you placed each signature, as part of the signed document's audit trail.
  • Tap Cancel to back out. You cannot submit a form with signature boxes until you adopt one.
