Choose learning objectives for a custom lesson

If you don't see this

• It needs the Create Custom Lessons permission. A director grants it under Manage School → Staff → Permissions.

Standards tell teachers and families what a lesson develops. Pick them per age, since each age has its own standards.

Before you start

• Finish Build a custom lesson first.

Steps

1. In the builder, under Learning Objectives, tap a domain tile. Preschool lessons offer all eight domains; Elementary and Middle offer four.
2. Check the Age Range at the top and switch it if needed.
3. Browse by domain, or type in Search Learning Standards.

4. Tap each standard the lesson targets. Tap again to deselect.
5. Tap Save.

Tips

• Copy From at the top copies the selected standards from another age.
• The badge on each domain tile shows how many standards are picked.

Troubleshooting

• "Age Range Required". Choose the lesson's ages for that level first.
• "No Standards Found". Try other search words, or clear the search.
