Read a lesson

Every lesson follows the same layout, so you can prepare quickly. Open one from the Library, a lesson plan or a post.

Steps​

  1. Open a lesson.
  2. Check the age at the top. Tap it and pick another age to load that version of the lesson.

  3. Scroll through the sections:
    • Learning objectives: domain icons. Tap one for detail. See keywords opens the lesson's vocabulary.
    • Summary: what the lesson is about.
    • Daily Dialogue: Morning gathering, Lunchtime discussion, Math moment and Storytime prompts. Tap one to read its conversation cards.
    • Examples: photos and videos. Tap to view full screen.
    • Instructions: Step 1 Engage, Step 2 Explore, Step 3 Reflect.
    • Materials: what you need. Tap the grid for the full list.
    • Related reading: tap a book to open its page.
    • Related lessons: other lessons to try next.

Tips​

  • Some younger age versions show only the Explore step.
  • Sections with nothing in them are hidden.
