Edit and share a prose report

If you don't see this

• It needs the Progress Reports permission. A director grants it under Manage School → Staff → Permissions.
• It needs the Send Progress Reports permission. A director grants it under Manage School → Staff → Permissions.
• This action may go to the Approval Center and take effect once a director approves it.

Generated prose is a draft. Read it, make it your own, then send it to the family.

Before you start

• Finish Turn a progress report into a prose report first.

Steps

1. Open the child's progress reports and switch to the Prose tab.
2. Tap the prose report.
3. Tap into the text and edit it like any document.
4. Tap Share at the bottom (or ⋮ → Share).

5. A Schoolbox message opens, addressed to the child's family with the prose attached. Adjust the message and send it. The prose is saved when the message is sent.

Tips

• To save without sharing, tap back. When asked Save Changes?, tap Yes, save my changes.
• If your school requires approval for progress reports, a director approves the message in the Approval Center before families see it.
• Families can download the prose as a PDF from their app.

Troubleshooting

• No Share button. Your account needs the Send Progress Reports permission. You can still write and save prose.
