A survey is built in four steps: Questions, Recipients, Settings, and Launch. This article covers starting the survey and the Questions step.
Before you start
- Finish Turn school features on or off first.
Steps
- Open Toolkit (the tab on phones, or the sidebar item on web and tablet) and tap Survey.

- Under How would you like to start?, choose one:
- School Survey to start from scratch for your current school.
- Copy from Existing to copy the questions of a survey you already have. Pick it from the list; the copy is named "(title) - Copy".

- Tap Add Question (or Add your first question), pick a question type, write the question, and tap Save.

The Questions step of a new survey - Repeat for each question. Drag the handle on a question card to reorder.
- Tap Next to choose recipients.
Tips
- Your work saves automatically each time you change steps or leave the editor. Unsent surveys appear under Draft in the survey list.
- Tap the eye icon (Preview) at the top to see the survey the way families will.
- You can also save from the ⋯ menu with Save as Draft.
