Run a survey in Kiosk Mode

If you don't see this

• It needs the Surveys permission. A director grants it under Manage School → Staff → Permissions.
• Your school must have Surveys turned on. It's a school setting, ask your director.

Kiosk Mode shows one survey full screen on a shared device. After each person submits, the survey resets for the next one. The device stays locked on the survey until someone enters the exit PIN.

Before you start

• Launch a survey with the Kiosk Mode audience, or a Public Link survey with Enable Kiosk Mode turned on. See Choose who receives a survey.
• Sign in to Asilo on the device you will leave out.

Steps

1. Open Toolkit, tap Survey, and tap the survey.
2. On the Analytics tab, find the Kiosk Mode card and tap Launch Kiosk.

3. Enter a 4-digit PIN under Create Exit PIN, then enter it again under Confirm Exit PIN.
4. Hand over the device. Each respondent enters their name, answers, and submits.

Exit Kiosk Mode

1. Tap the small X in the top-right corner of the screen.
2. Enter the exit PIN under Enter PIN to Exit.

Tips

• If the app is closed or the device restarts, Kiosk Mode reopens on the same survey.
• The back button does not leave Kiosk Mode.

Troubleshooting

• Nobody remembers the PIN. Contact Asilo support to get an override code for that survey.
